Public Comments and Administrative Updates

The Board received public input regarding the maintenance and future plans for community amenities.

As part of the Consent Agenda, the Board approved:

  • Minutes from the regular meeting held on May 12, 2026.

  • The Property Maintenance Coordinator’s report and the Communications and website report.

  • The Viridian Sailing Center Foundation report and Bookkeeper’s financial reports, including tax collection data as of May 31, 2026.

Financial Developments and Budget Amendments

The Board took several actions to ensure the continued financial stability and operational efficiency of the District:

  • PID Reimbursements: The Board approved a Supplement to the Agreed-Upon Procedures Report for the disbursement of proceeds related to Public Improvement District (PID) assessments. This included authorizing reimbursements for landscape construction and related costs across multiple PIDs.

  • Operating Budget Amendment: The Board approved an amendment to the operating budget for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2026. This amendment notably included an additional $50,000 allocation specifically for streetlight repairs to address current maintenance needs.

  • Insurance Proposals: Insurance proposals for the community beach and dock facilities were approved.

  • Continuing Disclosure Reports: The Board authorized the filing of annual continuing disclosure reports for various Assessment Revenue Bonds.

Infrastructure and Engineering Projects

The Engineer’s report provided updates on several active construction and maintenance projects within the District. Key highlights included:

  • Viridian Nature Preserve:  Updates were provided on the status of the Viridian Nature Preserve Phase 1 improvements.  In addition, the Board authorized the preparation of the engineering plans for Phase 2 of the project. 

  • Construction Progress: Updates were provided on the Boyd’s Branch channel stabilization, currently 90% complete, and the Control Structure A repairs, which have reached 100% completion.

  • Change Orders and Pay Applications: Several change orders were approved, including grading revisions for the Railroad Buffer Phase 2 parks and traffic signal material cost increases for North Collins Street. Pay applications were also authorized for ongoing work on the Blue Lake Entry landscaping and monumentation.

  • Substantial Completion: The Board accepted the Certificate of Substantial Completion for the Phase 3C parks, authorizing final acceptance of these improvements.

The next meeting for the Viridian MMD Board of Directors is scheduled for July 14, 2026.
