Future Bonds
The Board received an update from the District’s Financial Advisor regarding the feasibility for the District to issue future road bonds. The Board assigned the matter to the Board’s Disclosure Committee for review, with the request that the Committee provide a recommendation to the Board at the December Board meeting.
General Manager’s Report
The District’s new General Manager presented his report to the Board, detailing numerous infrastructure and maintenance initiatives and actions to handle operation and maintenance issues within the District. The Board took action to grant the GM the authority to approve expenditures up to $10,000 a month for District-related maintenance and repairs and took action to approve costs associated with the storage of District-owned equipment and materials.
The Board also directed the General Manager and the Infrastructure Committee to create a joint public statement on the overall status of lights, repairs, budget, and a comprehensive plan of action.
Developer’s and Engineer’s Report
The Board received an update from the Developer and District Engineer on the current progress of the community, which includes 76 home sales to date with an average price of $592,000. The Board was provided updates on various projects within the District, including updates on the construction of future Collins traffic signals, noting that a delay in materials is making the summer of 2026 the likely completion date. The Developer also provided updates on the development of the commercial areas and various smaller projects.
The community is asked to refrain from walking or biking in active construction areas.
VRA and Other Matters
Representatives from the Viridian Residents Association (VRA) updated the Board on several matters pertaining to the VRA budget, cost-sharing agreements, landscaping, courtesy patrol, and irrigation repairs. The VRA requested permission from the Board to install new artwork in three locations within the District. With regard to the Elements art location, the Board tabled the matter until more information could be provided on the impact to existing trees and vegetation.
Communications- The Communications team updated the District’s Committee webpage reflecting the new organization, and has posted a notice for residents to apply. Website traffic has been steadily increasing, indicating an increase in community awareness and involvement.
The next board meeting for Viridian MMD will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.
