Tax Matters and Public Hearing
A public hearing was conducted regarding the District's 2025 tax rate. Following the public hearing and discussion from the Board, the Board adopted, a 2025 tax rate of $0.5152 per $100 of assessed value.
Viridian Beach Update
Updates were provided by the Viridian Beach Redesign Committee, which proposed a boardwalk and children's park, emphasizing public access and the creation of a safe family environment. A concept design of the potential area is shown below. The Board authorized the Committee to investigate funding options for the proposed design.

Developers Report
The developer's report highlighted new home sales and progress on various community developments, including final touches on parks, monument sign fabrication, and traffic signal improvements.
Engineers Report
The engineer's report detailed construction projects, approved contracts, and pay applications. Maintenance issues, such as erosion at Boyd’s Branch and guard shack roof repairs, were also addressed.
Melody Pond Vegetation Discussion
A discussion on Melody Pond's eutrophication and invasive hydrilla led to a proposed process and plans for community engagement on runoff prevention.
Governance and Committee Reports
The District Management Structure Committee recommended that the District move forward with Blue Line Services to provide general manager services to the District. After discussion, the Board voted to authorize negotiations with Blue Line for a general management service contract.
Communications Report
The Communications team reported significant progress on the Tracker ticketing system and growth in social media engagement. The Board also approved the Viridian Arts Council's request to use the Sculpture Garden for an October event and discussed efforts to address illegally parked vehicles on District lots.
Miscellaneous Items
The Viridian Sailing Center Foundation presented a proposal regarding the expansion of the Viridian Sailing Center. The Board requested a separate meeting with the Foundation to discuss the proposal.
