On the evening of Friday, May 30th, approximately 300 teenagers arrived at the beach area of Viridian.

Rather than waiting for things to get out of hand, the Arlington police were called and they cleared the beach at the direction of the VMMD leadership.

Based on this latest incident, the VMMD Board is extremely concerned about the safety and security of the area.  Therefore, VMMD has temporarily closed the beach to the entire public. 

The VMMD Board will hold its next regular monthly Board meeting on June 10, 2025 at 9:00am, at which the Board will have discussion of this matter on the agenda, including a discussion on the closing of the beach and further action as necessary.
